For the third time, Russian state-owned monopoly Gazprom is threatening to cut gas supplies to smaller countries unless they accept huge price increases and allow the company to take part-ownership of their network. If Russia thinks this is acceptable, the EU should be seriously worried about energy security and consider sanctions against Russia. But then that could lead to gas shortages… Don’t you just love politics?
