Upgrade culture

The New York Times has a great article on the changing nature of technology. Not too long ago, manufacturers would have to ensure that devices would wear out so as to ensure people replaced them. Now, our upgrade culture and thirst for new technology means that quite the opposite is true. Read it here.

    That was a really interesting article. My husband and I are both gadget freaks and tend to buy the latest stuff when it comes out, although we do shop around for the best price and get a kick out of finding a bargain. When I think about how our main PC has evolved over the last few years, it’s quite scary.
