Project management skills
Meri Williams wrote an excellent post on her new Geek|Manager blog about a week ago, and it’s been sitting in my Google Reader starred items waiting to be blogged about ever since. It echoes the main topic of her presentation at BarCampLondon2 a few weeks ago (almost certainly the most useful and informative session I went to) where she talked about project management and where people tend to go wrong. The key point she made was that the most important stages to watch out for in a project aren’t the execution and control, but rather the initiation, planning and closure.
The post on Geek|Manager is here.
