Safari for Windows
The Fosfor Gadgets blog compares Firefox 2.0 and the newly-released Safari beta for Windows. I’m aware that there have been quite a few reviews since, but this was the first one I saw and they all seem to say the same thing. By the sounds of it, Safari still has a long way to go to iron out all the little bugs and rendering issues and even if they manage that, I can’t quite see the need for yet another Windows browser. Anyway, I’ve not yet been able to test the new browser (I currently have 200Mb free space on my hard drive) but once I get round to reformatting my PC I’ll no doubt give it a go.

very glad to report that safari 3.0 installed on my XP windows machine is up and running WITHOUT any of the bugs reported in the article here: http://gadgets.fosfor.se/safari-for-windows-first-impressions/
(gmail works well with it now)
from my experience, it renders everything very nicely, and is super fast for the sites i viewed.

Good to know. I hate posting anything like this without being able to review it myself first, but my PC’s on its last legs right now. Glad that it’s working for you, although judging by the reviews there are still quite a lot of people who are having problems with it. Guess that’s the problem with betas…
So are you using it as your main browser now?
