Facebook security failure
TechCrunch reports on the recent security failure at Facebook, where a misconfigured web server meant that source code to the homepage was leaked and published on a website. As the article notes, this raises concerns about the security of the site, which holds a great deal of personal information about its users including credit card details. While Facebook deny that customer data was compromised, there is little doubt that the leaking of the source code may provide an opportunity for hackers to find and exploit any further security holes that may exist.
